北京博文圣译国际文化交流中心多年来一直致力于为中国的英语教育发展贡献一份绵薄之力,中心以教学管理部为核心工作团队,十余年来构建起了包括外教招聘、指导培训、课程研发、教学辅助、评估考核在内的高效管理机制。在市、区教委教育国际化的政策方针指导下的“外教进课堂项目”中默默耕耘,为北京市教育国际化工作培养了一批优质的外教,并实施了符合时代精神和教改要求的高质量的课程项目。

Beijing Broaden & Top-trans Communication Center (BTC) has been always committed to making a contribution to the development of English education in China.Over ten years, the center with the teaching management department as the core has built an efficient management mechanism, including foreign teacher recruitment, guidance and training, curriculum research and development, teaching assistance, evaluation and assessment. Under the guidance of the educational internationalization policy from the municipal and district Education Commission, the center has cultivated a group of high-quality foreign teachers in the "Foreign Teachers Enter the Classroom Project" for the implement of educational internationalization in Beijing, and conducted a high-quality curriculum project with meeting the spirit of the age and the requirements of education reform.

又是一年新学期伊始,为深入了解我中心各外籍教师的教学工作情况,加强教学过程质量监控,强化课堂教学管理,我中心领导率领教学管理团队开启了为期一周的外教推门课听课活动。9月2日我中心教学管理团队对下列学校进行了听课督导,并积极沟通外教工作细节,了解新学期的教学情况。

At the beginning of this new semester, in order to have a timely touch of the teaching of foreign teachers in BTC partner schools, strengthen the quality control of teaching process, and enhance the classroom teaching management, the leaders and the teaching management team of our center started a one-week foreign teachers' class observations. On September 2nd, the teaching management team of BTC went to the following partner schools to actively communicate with foreign teachers about their work details and get to know the teaching situation of the new semester.

北京市大峪中学的两位外教Vaughn和Riaan已经在学校工作多年,对学校的教学理念和学生们的整体情况非常了解。他们与学生默契交流,课堂氛围轻松自然,外教Vaughn 老师给学生们介绍了自己的家乡和美食,还有自己曾经的职业经历。通过介绍他家乡洛杉矶的著名篮球队,调动了全班的积极性。学生们和外教老师交流了很多篮球文化和篮球明星,并在交流中提升了英语口语表达能力,有了爱好的加持,孩子们对学习英语的积极性甚是高涨。

Two foreign teachers, Vaughn and Riaan, from Beijing Dayu High School have been working at the school for many years and have a good understanding of the school's teaching philosophy and the overall situation of the students. They communicate smoothly with the students and create a relaxing and natural classroom atmosphere. In Vaughns class he introduced his hometown and the delicious food there, as well as his previous career experiences to the students. By introducing the famous basketball team in his hometown of Los Angeles, he aroused the enthusiasm of the whole class. Students and foreign teachers exchanged a lot about basketball culture and basketball stars, and improved their English speaking skills in the process. The students' enthusiasm for learning English was very high when talking about hobbies.

外教Riaan老师的第一节课首先给学生们讲了他的课堂规则。接下来Riaan通过介绍每个学生的名字和爱好,调动了全班的积极性,还给没有英文名的学生取了非常有意思的英文名,看得出来,学生们在得到为自己量身打造的英文名后非常兴奋。老师还通过让学生们互相介绍自己的爱好,以及假期都参加了什么有意思的活动来拉近师生之间的距离。学生们参与度极高,每个人都很开心,还都有说不完的故事给老师听。这样积极的学习气氛对英语水平的提升作用不言而喻!外教们丰富的教学经验和课堂管理水平在课堂中淋漓尽致的体现出来。

The other foreign teacher,Riaan,started his first class by explaining his class rules to the students. Then he engaged the whole class by introducing each student's name and hobby. He also gave interesting English names to students who didn't have one. It was clear that the students were very excited to have a name specially picked for him/her. The distance between the teacher and the students became closer by asking them to introduce their hobbies to each other and what interesting activities they did during the holidays. The students were highly engaged and everyone was happy, with lots of stories to share in the class. The positive learning atmosphere was obvious, thus the improvement in English level was not a surprise. The foreign teacher's rich teaching experience and class management skills were fully demonstrated in the class.

北京第二实验小学永定分校的两位外教Kay和Melissa也是在学校工作多年,孩子们特别喜欢这两位热情活泼的漂亮女外教。外教Kay首先带着孩子们又熟悉了一次课堂规则,接着通过传球的小游戏调动了全班的积极性,并在游戏中穿插了名字介绍和打招呼的句子练习,最后带着孩子们在动画视频中边唱边跳,孩子们对英语的热情和接受度更加高涨。

Kay and Melissa are the foreign teachers who work at Beijing No.2 Experimental Primary School Yong Ding Branch. They have also been working at the school for many years. The children like these two enthusiastic, lively and pretty foreign teachers very much. Kay first led the children review the classroom rules, then she used a passing game to motivate the entire class, and interspersed name introductions and greeting sentence practice into the game. Finally, she led the children in singing and dancing along with an animated video, and the children's enthusiasm and receptivity to English increased even more.

外教Melissa的第一节课非常新颖,通过与孩子们互动来探讨上课规则,让孩子们自己规定在课堂里能做和不能做的事,以及违反规则了要接受什么样的小惩罚。孩子们积极性非常高,最后把规则制定好后,外教让每个学生在规则纸上签字,和孩子们达成了一个默契的协议。俗话说“无规矩不成方圆”,通过这种形式,孩子们能够切身体会规则的意义并且更加遵守课堂规则,对今后的英语学习起到很好的规范作用。

Melissa's first class was very innovative. She engaged the children in discussions about classroom rules, allowing them to decide what they could and could not do in class, and what consequences they would face for breaking the rules. The children were highly motivated, and in the end, they agreed on the rules. Melissa then asked each student to sign the rule sheet, thereby reaching a tacit agreement with the children. As the saying goes, Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards, the children could experience the significance of rules and become more obedient to classroom rules in this way, which would bring great benefits for their future English learning.

在我们的另外一所项目学校——北京十一实验中学,外教Lisa为我们带来了一堂别开生面的外教课。面对初一年级这群充满好奇与期待的学生们,Lisa老师巧妙地洞察到了彼此间可能存在的陌生与隔阂,她精心策划了一系列别开生面的破冰活动,迅速拉近师生间的距离。 Lisa老师不仅独具匠心地为每位学生挑选了富有特色的英文名字,她还列出了一系列充满趣味且能够展现美国文化精髓的自我介绍问题,引导学生们分享彼此的故事与见解。 学生们对Lisa老师的用心安排表现出了极高的热情与兴趣,他们纷纷踊跃参与。教室里洋溢着欢声笑语,充满了轻松愉快的气氛。能够与这样一位敬业负责、充满爱心与智慧的外教携手共进,对每个学生来说都是一种难得的宝贵的经历。

In another partner school of BTC - Beijing National Day Experimental School, foreign teacher Lisa brought us a unique foreign teaching class. In the face of students full of curiosity and expectation, Lisa discerned the possibility of unfamiliarity   among the students. She carefully planned a series of unique ice-breaking activities, which quickly narrowed the distance between teachers and students. Lisa not only selected distinctive English names for them, she also listed a series of interesting self-introduction questions that could show the essence of American culture, and guided students to share their stories and insights. The students showed great enthusiasm and interest in Lisa's thoughtful arrangement, and they actively participated in it. The classroom was filled with laughter and a relaxed atmosphere. Being able to work hand in hand with such a dedicated, responsible, loving and wise foreign teacher is a rare and valuable experience for every student.

在北京市十一学校石景山实验中学这所充满活力与创新的学校中,外教Navid以他那独具一格的英式幽默,向初一年级的学生们介绍自己。这位风度翩翩、发音纯正的外教,以其卓越的教学技巧,将整堂课的节奏把握得恰到好处。 首先是引人入胜的自我介绍,让学生们在轻松愉快的氛围中初步领略其个人魅力;紧接着是规则颁布,他清晰明了地阐述课堂规范,确保每位学生都能有序参与;随后是游戏时间,富有趣味性的活动不仅激发了学生们的学习兴趣,更促进了彼此间的互动与交流;最后以破冰问候作为温馨收尾,加深了师生间的情感联系。整个教学过程中,Navid老师始终遵循着教师示范、学生分组练习、代表演示的三大步骤,确保每位学生都能充分参与、有效学习。学生们在享受英式幽默的同时,也扎实地掌握了标准英语的精髓。

In Beijing National Day Experimental School Shijingshan Branch,foreign teacher Navid introduced himself to the seventh grade students with his unique British sense of humor. With his excellent teaching skills, his graceful and authentic   pronunciation managed to keep the rhythm of the whole class just right. First of all, it was an engaging self-introduction. The students were in a relaxed atmosphere in a preliminary taste of his personal charm. This was followed by the promulgating of rules, which clearly spelled out classroom norms to ensure that every student could participate in an orderly manner. The interesting activities not only stimulated the students' interest in learning, but also promoted the interaction and communication between each other. Finally, the ice-breaking greeting as a warm ending, deepening the emotional connection between teachers and students. Throughout the teaching process, Navid always followed the three steps of teacher demonstration, student group practice, and representative demonstration to ensure that every student could fully participate in and learn effectively. While enjoying British humor, students also had a solid grasp of the essence of standard English.

外教进课堂活动对激发学生的英语学习兴趣,提高他们的听、说技能有显著帮助;同时,外教的到来营造了良好的校园英语学习氛围,也促进了英语组教师口语交际能力的提升,促进了教师的专业化成长。外教进课堂活动给学生们打开了一个了解世界的窗口,开阔了学生的国际视野,激发了学生学习英语的兴趣,为学校营造了良好的英语学习氛围,也为学校的英语教学增添了亮丽的色彩。

“Foreign Teachers Enter the Classroom Project”can stimulate students' interest in English learning and improve their listening and speaking skills. At the same time, the arrival of foreign teachers has created a good English learning atmosphere on campus, promoted the improvement of oral communication ability of English teachers, and facilitated the professional growth of teachers. This project opens a window for students to understand the world, broaden the students' international vision and stimulate their interest in learning English. It not only creates good English learning atmosphere for the schools, but also adds a bright color to the schools English teaching.

中心外教项目将一直坚持以英语的实际应用为抓手,把外教听说课紧密与中方英语教材相结合,在未来的教学过程中,我们将继续深化探索,持续推进,以便更好地服务学生、服务项目、服务学校。我中心将以进一步提升学生们的英语学科素养与多元文化理解能力为目标、为推动将优质国际化教育引入课堂继续贡献自己的力量!

The foreign teacher program of BTC will always adhere to the practical application of English as a starting point, combining the foreign teachers listening and speaking classes closely with Chinese English teaching materials. In the future, we will continue to deepen exploration and promote teaching in order to better serve the school, serve the students, and serve the "Foreign Teachers Enter the Classroom Project". Our center will continue to contribute to the introduction of high-quality international education into the classroom with the goal of further improving students' English literacy and multicultural understanding.
