2023年12月29日，北京博文圣译国际文化交流中心（BTC）王朋主任携同中心外教Vaughn及国际部王希老师，参加了由北京市门头沟区政府外事办公室主办，门头沟区潭柘寺镇人民政府、北京百年实际文化发展有限公司承办的“MEN TO GO门头沟区国际交往服务能力提升授牌仪式”。
On December 29, 2023, BTC Director Wang Peng, along with foreign teacher Vaughn and International Department Cecilia, attended MEN TO GO Award Ceremony on Elevating Mentougou District Ability to Conduct International Interactions, which was hosted by Foreign Affairs Office of Mentougou District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and organized by Mentougou District Tanzhesi Town People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and Beijing Century Actual Culture Development Co., LTD.
BTC中心外教Vaughn作为外国友人代表发言，中心主任王朋有感于家乡的巨大变化，被现场气氛所感染，临时替代国际部王希老师进行了现场翻译。Vaughn作为生活在门头沟、工作在大峪中学的外国人，分享了自己在门头沟的居住体会。他表示非常享受在这里平静的生活，门头沟自然风光宜人，被绿水青山所环绕，环境优美，交通便利，美食味佳还不贵，门头沟居民热情开朗，人文风情有感染力，是一个适宜居住的好地方。
Vaughn, a foreign teacher of BTC, living in Mentougou and working in Dayu High School, spoke as a representative of foreign friends, shared his experience and feeling of living in Mentougou. BTC Director Wang Peng was impressed by the great changes in his hometown and was touched by the atmosphere at the scene, so he decided to replace teacher Wang from BTC International Department to do the interpretation on-site. As a foreigner living in Mentougou, Vaughn said he enjoyed the peaceful life here. Surrounded by green mountains, Mentougou has pleasant natural scenery and beautiful environment. It’s a good place to live where the transportation is convenient, food is tasty at good price, local people are warm and enthusiastic, and the humanistic customs are appealing.
授牌仪式结束后，BTC中心主任王朋和外教Vaughn参加了现场研讨会。会上，在区政府办公室主任、区外办主任赵金亮的启发和引导下，大家热烈讨论如何宣传门头沟将其打造成国际IP, 从“Mentougou”到“Mentogo, Land of Promise”，让更多的人了解门头沟，走进门头沟这一期许之地。
After the award ceremony, BTC Director Wang and foreign teacher Vaughn participated in an on-site seminar. At the seminar, under the inspiration and guidance of Zhao Jinliang, the Director of Mentogou District People’s Government Office and Foreign Affairs Office of Mentougou District People’s Government, all participants discussed how to publicize Mentougou from "Mentougou" to "Mentogo, Land of Promise", to make it become an international IP that attracts more people to understand Mentougou and walk into the land of promise.
